New Directions Education is currently recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work in schools across the Merthyr Tydfil area.

The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
Support pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
Assist class teachers with day-to-day classroom activities
Support learners with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), including behavioural, emotional, or learning difficulties
Help create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
Encourage pupil engagement, confidence, and independence
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for individuals who:
Have experience working with children or young people (school-based experience desirable but not essential)
Are patient, caring, and adaptable
Have strong communication and teamwork skills
Are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Hold (or are willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
