We are currently working in partnership with a range of welcoming and supportive schools across Torfaen Borough, and we are looking for enthusiastic, caring and committed Learning Support Assistants to join their teams.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play an important role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing one-to-one and small-group support to pupils.
• Supporting pupils with additional learning needs and/or ALN.
• Assisting teachers with classroom activities and learning programmes.
• Encouraging pupils’ confidence, independence and engagement.
• Supporting positive behaviour and creating a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Helping pupils develop their social, emotional and communication skills.
• Working collaboratively with teachers, support staff and families.
• Providing pastoral support and acting as a positive role model.

Experience supporting pupils with ALN, ASD, ADHD, behavioural needs or communication difficulties would be particularly valuable.
