New Directions Education are currently recruiting dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work across primary schools in Helsby and Frodsham. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting children’s learning and helping them thrive within a positive and inclusive school environment.
The schools we work with are friendly, community-focused, and committed to providing high-quality education for all pupils.
Due to the nature of these opportunities, candidates must be able to commit to working 3 or more days per week.
• Supporting pupils in the classroom on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and learning activities
• Supporting pupils with a range of learning needs and abilities
• Promoting pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning
• Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
• Supporting with classroom preparation and learning resources
• Monitoring and recording pupil progress where required
• Experience working with children or young people (school-based experience desirable)
• A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
• A full driving licence and access to transport (beneficial)
