New Directions are currently recruiting for a Year 5 Teacher to work in a supportive and well-regarded primary school in the M40 area. This is a full-time role starting as soon as possible, running until the end of the school year, with the potential to move onto a school contract for the right candidate.

The Role:

  • Full-time Year 5 class teacher role with full teaching responsibilities.
  • Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Assess and track pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet a range of abilities.
  • Establish a positive, well-managed classroom environment that supports learning and behaviour.
  • Work closely with support staff, SEN teams, and senior leaders to ensure all pupils are supported effectively.

The Candidate:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Has experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5, though ECTs are welcome to apply.
  • Demonstrates strong classroom management and effective behaviour strategies.
  • Is enthusiastic, reliable, and committed to raising attainment.
  • Builds strong relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
