An Ofsted rated ‘Exceptional’ secondary school in Liverpool is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and reflective Religious Education Teacher to join its Humanities faculty. This is a full-time role with the possibility of a permanent contract for the right candidate.
The school prides itself on fostering an inclusive and respectful environment where pupils are encouraged to explore different beliefs, cultures and ethical perspectives. The successful applicant will deliver Religious Education across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting pupils to develop critical thinking skills and a deeper understanding of the world around them.
The Role
• Teach Religious Education across KS3 and KS4
• Deliver engaging lessons that explore a range of religious and non-religious worldviews
• Prepare pupils effectively for GCSE examinations
• Promote discussion, debate and independent thinking within the classroom
• Contribute positively to the wider life and ethos of the school
The Ideal Candidate
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or currently completing teacher training (ECTs welcome)
• Experience teaching RE at KS3 (KS4 experience advantageous)
• Strong subject knowledge across major world religions and ethical themes
• Ability to create a respectful and inclusive classroom environment
• Commitment to supporting pupil progress and personal development
