New Directions Education is looking for a Geography Teacher to work on a supply basis in secondary schools across Leeds.
This role is ideal if you’re looking for flexible teaching work, whether you’re an experienced teacher, an ECT, or someone who enjoys the variety and work–life balance that supply offers.
The role:
As a Supply Geography Teacher, you’ll work in local secondary schools delivering engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with occasional KS5 opportunities, depending on the school). Your day‑to‑day responsibilities will include:
-Teaching Geography lessons using pre‑prepared plans or adapting materials where needed
-Covering topics such as physical geography, human geography, and environmental issues
-Keeping students engaged, focused, and motivated
-Managing the classroom in a calm, positive, and confident way
-Working alongside supportive school staff and departments
We’re looking for someone who:
-Holds QTS (or an equivalent teaching qualification)
-Has strong subject knowledge in Geography
-Feels confident leading a classroom
-Is reliable, flexible, and professional
-Enjoys helping students develop an understanding of the world around them
