What you will bring to the role
Experience working with children or young people with ALN/SEN (in education, care, or community settings). If you have transferable skills from a care back round please also get in touch
Knowledge of strategies for supporting learners with a range of needs, such as autism, speech and language difficulties, or social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for inclusive education.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals.
What you will do
Deliver engaging, differentiated learning experiences tailored to individual needs and targets.
Use creative strategies, assistive technology, and sensory resources to support communication, emotional regulation, and independence.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team — including therapists, support staff, and families — to ensure holistic support for each learner.
Track and celebrate progress using both academic and personal development milestones.
Contribute to a positive, nurturing school culture where every child feels safe, valued, and understood.
