Special Needs Teaching Assistant (SEND TA – ADHD Support)

Age Range of Pupils 8 to 16 years
Location Aston, Birmingham – B6
Contract Type Full-time, Monday to Friday (ONLY APPLY IF LOOKING FOR FULL TIME) 8:30am – 3:30pm Term-time only
Pay £92.45 – £95 per day £462.25 – £475 per week Weekly pay
Job Purpose We are currently looking for an energetic and proactive SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with ADHD and associated learning needs within a specialist school in Aston.
This rewarding role involves helping pupils remain engaged in learning and supporting positive classroom participation.
Key Responsibilities – Teaching & Learning Support
Provide 1:1 and small group support
Support attention and concentration strategies
Assist with classroom organisation and routines
Encourage positive behaviour and participation
Work collaboratively with teaching staff
Promote pupil confidence and independence
Person Requirements
Experience supporting children with ADHD
Positive and enthusiastic attitude
Strong communication skills
Ability to adapt to changing situations
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Two satisfactory references
Qualifications
No formal qualifications required
Relevant experience required, including:
Youth work
Sports coaching
SEND school experience
