Pay £92.52 – £102.83 per day £462.60 – £514.15 per week Weekly pay
Job Purpose We are currently recruiting for a resilient and committed SEND Teaching Assistant / Behaviour TA to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and behaviours that challenge within a specialist setting in Perry Barr.
This rewarding Teaching Assistant role involves helping pupils overcome barriers to learning while promoting emotional wellbeing, resilience, and positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities – Teaching & Learning Support
Provide 1:1 and classroom-based TA support
Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils
Support behaviour management and de-escalation strategies
Encourage emotional regulation and resilience
Work alongside teachers, pastoral teams, and SEN professionals
Promote a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
Person Requirements
Experience supporting SEMH needs or challenging behaviour
Confident behaviour management skills
Patient, resilient, and proactive nature
Ability to maintain professional boundaries while building rapport
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
