New Directions Education is currently recruiting enthusiastic and knowledgeable Science Teachers to work across a variety of secondary schools in the Harrogate area.
Due to growing demand from our partner schools, we are seeking Science specialists who can bring lessons to life and inspire students across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. The Role
As a Science Teacher, you will:
Deliver engaging and inspiring Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Teach your specialist subject while confidently covering the wider Science curriculum.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and achievement.
Encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and a passion for scientific discovery.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback where required.
Maintain high expectations for behaviour and academic performance.
Contribute positively to the wider school community.
What We’re Looking For
We are keen to hear from candidates who have:
– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. – Experience teaching Science within a UK secondary school. – Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or General Science. – Excellent classroom management skills. – The ability to motivate and engage learners of varying abilities. – A flexible, professional, and enthusiastic approach.
