New Directions Education are looking for an experienced EYFS Teacher to join a primary school in Denton, Tameside, from January. This is a full-time maternity cover position, and the school is keen to meet suitable candidates as soon as possible, with interviews taking place ASAP. This role would suit an established teacher with a strong background in Early Years rather than an ECT looking for their first teaching post.
About the school & role
Located in Denton, Tameside, the school is a well-established mainstream primary setting with nursery and primary provision. Denton is conveniently placed for candidates travelling from Denton, Audenshaw, Hyde and surrounding areas, with local bus routes connecting the area to Greater Manchester.
You’ll take responsibility for an EYFS class, planning and delivering engaging activities that support children’s early development, communication and learning through play. Creating a positive classroom environment where children feel confident to explore and learn will be a key part of the role.
The ideal candidate
Holds QTS and has solid experience teaching within EYFS. This post is not suitable for ECTs.
Has a strong understanding of the EYFS framework and can plan engaging, age-appropriate learning that supports children’s progress and school readiness.
Is confident managing an Early Years classroom, building positive relationships with children and families, and working effectively with teaching assistants and the wider school team.
