New Directions are seeking a PPA Teacher to join a primary school in Salford. This is a full-time position starting ASAP, covering a one-year maternity leave. The role involves teaching across EYFS to Year 6, with dedicated PPA time built into the timetable.
The Role
Delivering lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 to cover teachers’ PPA time.
Teaching across a range of year groups and adapting to different classes and learning needs.
Following lesson plans and school schemes of work.
Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining consistent expectations.
Supporting pupils’ learning and progress across the curriculum.
Working collaboratively with class teachers and the wider school team.
Using your own allocated PPA time to plan and prepare lessons as required.
Following school policies and safeguarding procedures.
The Candidate
QTS is essential.
An experienced primary teacher is preferred, but ECTs will also be considered.
Confident teaching across EYFS to Year 6.
Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum.
Able to adapt quickly to different classes and year groups.
Confident with classroom and behaviour management.
Organised, flexible and able to work independently.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing.
Available to start ASAP and cover the one-year maternity leave.
