Are you passionate and looking for work in the Risca area? New Directions are actively seeking for a LSA to support a pupil with ASD in Reception. This will be a long-term position Monday to Friday and to work between the hours of 8.30am – 3.30pm. This is a term time position so it is ideal for someone who is looking for flexibility.

You will be expected to help the pupil understand instructions and school work using techniques that work for them, create a stimulating environment, encouraging pupils’ confidence and independence and providing feedback along with assistance to teachers.

This is a demanding but rewarding job where you will be required to

• Assist the teacher in the day to day running of the classroom
• Includes some personal care
• Support pupils with Severe and Multiple learning difficulties
• Adjust learning styles to individual needs
• May include administering medicines
