Job Description

New Directions Education are recruiting for a Nursery Nurse to work within a variety of nurseries across the Flintshire area.

The Nursery Nurse will assume overall responsibility to promote high quality provision for babies and children, between the ages of 6 weeks and 5 years, working as part of a team to ensure a safe, stimulating environment for each individual child fulfilling legal and statutory requirements. The Nursery Nurse will be acting as a Key Carer for a group of children providing a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care, implementing daily routines and liaising with parents and carers on a regular basis.

Job Specification

Every day you’ll be assisting in teaching language, literacy and numeracy, helping the class reach the early learning goals of the national curriculum, along with encouraging good behaviour.

Aside from working with the children, the role also involves setting up and tidying away all activities, analysing and recording each child’s progress and talking about it with their parents/carers.
