The Role:
As a Year 5 Teacher, you will plan and deliver exciting, inquiry-based lessons that challenge and engage pupils, encouraging them to be independent thinkers and problem solvers.
Integrate outdoor learning experiences into your teaching to enhance understanding and connection with the natural world.
Work collaboratively with your parallel class teacher and wider staff team to develop creative projects and assessments aligned with the national curriculum.
Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom and outdoor environment where pupils feel safe to explore and learn.
Use ongoing assessment to inform planning, provide feedback, and ensure all pupils make excellent progress.
The Ideal Candidate:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Key Stage 2, preferably Year 5 or upper KS2.
Have a passion for inquiry-based learning and experience or enthusiasm for embedding outdoor learning in the curriculum.
Demonstrate excellent classroom management, creativity, and the ability to engage children of all abilities.
Be a reflective, collaborative practitioner who is proactive in sharing best practice and contributing to whole-school initiatives.
Be willing to complete an enhanced DBS check and register with the Update Service if not already in place.
Able to provide references covering the last 5 years of employment or study.
