The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing a classroom during the short-term absence of the regular teacher. You will deliver pre-planned lessons, ensure pupils remain engaged with their learning, and maintain a positive and productive learning environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supervising classes across a variety of subjects
• Delivering pre-prepared lesson materials provided by teaching staff
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Ensuring pupils remain focused and engaged throughout lessons
• Providing support and guidance where appropriate
• Recording attendance and reporting any issues to relevant staff members
• Building positive relationships with pupils and school staff
• Supporting the wider school community when required
