The Role
We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Design & Technology Teacher with a Textiles specialism to work on a supply basis in secondary schools. This is an excellent opportunity for teachers who are passionate about textiles, fashion, and creative design, and who are looking for flexible work across a variety of school settings.
You will be teaching KS3 and KS4 Design & Technology (Textiles), delivering engaging practical and theory-based lessons in line with the national curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and well‑structured Textiles lessons
Supervise and support practical work safely in the classroom/workshop
Follow lesson plans and school policies
Maintain a positive and productive learning environment
Manage classroom behaviour effectively
Ensure health & safety procedures are followed at all times
Essential Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Specialism or strong experience in Textiles
Experience teaching Design & Technology in UK secondary schools
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Flexible, reliable, and professional approach
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
