New Directions Education is currently recruiting a passionate and qualified Food Technology Teacher to work with students from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5 at a secondary school in St Helens. This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic professional holding Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) to inspire and engage young learners in practical and creative food technology lessons. This role will start in January 2026 and be ongoing for the rest of the academic year.

The Role:
• Plan and deliver stimulating Food Technology lessons across KS3 to KS5, fostering practical skills and theoretical knowledge
• Support and challenge students to develop their creativity, technical skills, and understanding of food science and nutrition
• Prepare students for examinations and coursework, ensuring progress and achievement at all levels
The Ideal Candidate:
• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Food Technology at KS3 to KS5
• Passionate about teaching practical food skills and inspiring students
• Must have a DBS on the Update Service or be willing to complete one
• Must have teaching references from within the last 5 years
