A well-regarded secondary school in Sefton, graded ‘Strong Standard’ in its most recent Ofsted inspection, is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join their team after the Easter break. This is a part-time role (2–3 days per week), starting week beginning 13th April 2026.

The Role
• Deliver engaging and practical Food Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Plan, prepare, and assess pupil work in line with the national curriculum
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement
• Create a safe and inclusive learning environment in line with health and safety standards
• Contribute to the wider life of the department and school where appropriate
The Ideal Candidate
• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Has experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level
• Is confident managing practical lessons and maintaining a safe classroom environment
• Demonstrates strong classroom management and organisational skills
• Is passionate about their subject and committed to delivering high-quality teaching
• Works well as part of a team and contributes positively to the school community

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
