This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate practitioner who can inspire students, deliver practical and engaging lessons, and contribute to a thriving Design & Technology department.
Key Responsibilities
Delivering high-quality Food Technology lessons to KS3 and KS4 pupils
Planning and preparing engaging practical and theory-based lessons
Ensuring safe use of kitchen equipment and adherence to health & safety procedures
Assessing student progress, providing feedback and supporting exam preparation
Maintaining a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment
Working collaboratively with the wider DT department and school leadership
The Ideal Candidate
QTS/QTLS with specialist experience in Food Technology
Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver creative, hands-on lessons
Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
Organised, proactive and committed to raising pupil achievement
Experience within secondary schools (ECTs also welcome to apply)
