Key Responsibilities

• Deliver planned lessons and learning activities to individuals, small groups and whole classes.
• Cover classes during short-term teacher absences.
• Support teachers in planning, preparing and assessing learning activities.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Provide targeted support for pupils with additional learning needs, including SEND.
• Promote positive behaviour and create an inclusive learning environment.
• Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

• Holds HLTA status or has equivalent relevant experience and qualifications.
• Has experience working with children and young people in an educational setting.
• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates confidence in leading whole-class learning.
• Has a strong understanding of effective teaching and learning strategies.
• Can motivate, inspire and engage pupils.
• Works effectively as part of a team and uses their own initiative.
• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
