We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join New Directions Educations on a supply basis.
The successful candidate will provide high-quality support across various schools in the Caerphilly Borough. You will be working closely with teachers and pupils to ensure a positive and engaging learning environment. You may be required to cover classes in the absence of teaching staff, deliver pre-planned lessons and support pupils across a range of abilities and needs.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver pre-planned lessons and learning activities in the absence of the class teacher.
Support teaching and learning across the school.
Work with individual pupils and small groups to promote progress and achievement.
Maintain a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment.
Support pupils with additional needs where required.
Work collaboratively with teachers and other members of staff.
Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures.
Provide feedback to teachers regarding pupil progress and behaviour.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
Has experience working as an HLTA
Has strong classroom management skills.
Is confident leading learning and working independently.
Has high expectations of pupil behaviour and achievement.
Is adaptable, reliable and able to respond positively to changing situations.
Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Holds a HLTA or Level 4 qualification
