New Directions Education is currently recruiting a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work within welcoming and supportive Primary Schools across Leeds. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident and enthusiastic education professional who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and development.
The Role
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the primary age range. Responsibilities will include:
Delivering planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
Supporting pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
Working with individuals and small groups to raise attainment.
Assisting teachers with planning, preparation and assessment activities.
Supporting pupils with varying learning needs to ensure they achieve their full potential.
Promoting a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
Essential Requirements
A recognised HLTA qualification is essential.
Previous experience working within a primary school setting.
Strong classroom management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A flexible, proactive and professional approach.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
