About the Roles
We are recruiting History Teachers to cover a range of assignments across Leeds:
Day‑to‑day supply: flexible, varied, and ideal for work‑life balance
Short‑term placements: 1–6 weeks
Long‑term roles: full timetables with planning, marking, and potential temp‑to‑perm pathways
You will deliver engaging lessons that encourage curiosity, analytical thinking, and a love of learning.
Key Responsibilities
-Teach History across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
-Deliver creative, well‑structured lessons using pre‑planned materials where provided
-Support students in developing critical thinking, literacy, and historical enquiry skills
-Maintain strong behaviour management in line with school policies
-Assess and monitor student progress
-Contribute to department planning and extracurricular opportunities (long‑term roles)
What We’re Looking For
–Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant FE qualification
-Experience teaching History at secondary level
-Strong subject knowledge and passion for the curriculum
-Excellent classroom and behaviour‑management skills
-Adaptability and confidence—especially valuable for supply work
-An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
-Both experienced teachers and ECTs are welcome.
