The Role
As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and help create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment. You may work across different year groups, supporting pupils with a range of abilities and learning needs.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting the class teacher with daily classroom activities and lesson delivery.
Working with individuals and small groups of pupils to reinforce learning.
Providing additional support for children who need extra help with their learning or development.
Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting pupils’ confidence and independence.
Assisting with classroom preparation and organisation.
Supporting pupils’ social, emotional and academic development.
Helping to maintain a safe, welcoming and inclusive classroom environment.
Following school policies, safeguarding procedures and health and safety guidelines.
The Ideal Candidate

Reliable, punctual and adaptable to different school environments.
Confident communicating with children and working as part of a team.
Able to use their initiative while following the teacher’s guidance.
Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Previous experience working with children is desirable, ideally within a school or educational setting. Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, would be advantageous but are not essential if you have suitable experience and skills.
