Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has opened for experienced HLTAs across the Harrogate area to support a range of Primary settings. This full‑time role is ideal for someone confident leading learning, supporting pupils across EYFS–KS2, and delivering high‑quality interventions.

The Role

• Working across all Primary year groups, adapting support to different ages and learning needs
• Leading small‑group and whole‑class learning under the direction of teaching staff
• Delivering targeted interventions in literacy, numeracy, phonics, and social‑skills development
• Providing high‑quality classroom support, ensuring lessons run smoothly and pupils remain engaged
• Supporting behaviour management and promoting positive, inclusive learning environments
• Assisting with planning, assessment, and preparation of learning resources
• Covering classes when required, maintaining strong routines and consistent expectations

Essential Requirements

• HLTA experience or relevant HLTA qualifications
• Strong understanding of the Primary curriculum
• Ability to lead learning confidently and independently
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
• A proactive, flexible, and child‑centred approach
