Nurture Base Learning Support Assistant – Irlam
£465–£500 Weekly Pay (PAYE – No Umbrella Company)

New Directions Education is currently recruiting a caring and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join the Nurture Base within a welcoming primary school in Irlam. This is a full-time, long-term role starting in September, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

The Role

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support within the Nurture Base, helping pupils develop emotionally, socially and academically.
  • Build positive relationships, support emotional regulation and implement behaviour support strategies throughout the school day.
  • Work closely with teachers, the SENDCo and external professionals to deliver tailored support and successful classroom transitions.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience in a school, SEND setting, care, youth work, mentoring, sports coaching or a similar support role.
  • Patient, resilient and compassionate, with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Teaching Assistant qualifications are desirable but not essential for candidates with relevant transferable experience.
