Nurture Base Learning Support Assistant – Irlam £465–£500 Weekly Pay (PAYE – No Umbrella Company)
New Directions Education is currently recruiting a caring and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join the Nurture Base within a welcoming primary school in Irlam. This is a full-time, long-term role starting in September, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

Focus on developing pupils’ confidence, emotional resilience and readiness to access mainstream learning.
The Role
Provide one-to-one and small group support within the Nurture Base, helping pupils develop emotionally, socially and academically.
Build positive relationships, support emotional regulation and implement behaviour support strategies throughout the school day.
Work closely with teachers, the SENDCo and external professionals to deliver tailored support and successful classroom transitions.
The Ideal Candidate
Previous experience in a school, SEND setting, care, youth work, mentoring, sports coaching or a similar support role.
Patient, resilient and compassionate, with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Teaching Assistant qualifications are desirable but not essential for candidates with relevant transferable experience.
