Level 2 / 3 SEND Teaching Assistant, West Bromwich, Sandwell

Job Description

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant who holds a relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification to support in a welcoming, family-values primary school in West Bromwich on a full-time basis. This role will be working on a 1-to-1 basis with a Year 2 student who is autistic and has speech & language support needs.

The school are working with us exclusively to appoint on a long-term to potential permanent basis for the right applicant following time in setting.

Your responsibilities will include: –

• Creating a safe learning environment for the student to grow academically and in their personal development, with support from teachers & the SENCo
• To adapt resources and approaches to remove barriers to learning and meet individual needs.
• Use positive, consistent strategies to support communication, emotional regulation, behaviour and wellbeing.
• Promote the student’s independence and help them adapt to education in school following previous non-attendance

This role will be working term-time only for the hours of 08:30 to 3:30, Monday to Friday

This position pays a daily rate from £92.56 to £98.83 per day equivalent (PAYE) dependent on your experience and qualifications.
