New Directions Education is currently recruiting skilled Primary HLTAs to work on a supply basis across a range of welcoming and supportive primary schools in Harrogate.
About the Role
As a Supply HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across a variety of primary settings. You will have the opportunity to lead whole-class sessions, cover lessons in the absence of the teacher, and provide targeted support to pupils.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver pre-planned lessons across the primary age range
Provide class cover in the absence of the class teacher
Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
Assist with planning and delivering engaging learning activities
Support pupils with a range of abilities, including those with SEND
Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning
Work collaboratively with teachers and school staff
What We’re Looking For
HLTA qualification or equivalent experience in a similar role
Experience working within primary school settings
Confidence in leading whole-class teaching sessions
Strong behaviour management and communication skills
A flexible and adaptable approach to working in different schools
A proactive, reliable, and professional attitude
