Exciting Opportunity for SEN Teacher in a Specialised School!

Are you an experienced SEN teacher with expertise in profound and multiple learning disabilities? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join a specialised SEN school on a part-time basis (Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday) starting ASAP on a long-term supply basis.

Position: SEN Teacher
Location: Birkenhead
Schedule: Part-Time (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday)

Role and Responsibilities:
– Plan and deliver tailored lessons and activities to meet the individual needs of students with profound and multiple learning disabilities
– Create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and progress
– Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop personalised learning plans for each student
– Implement technology and sensory-based strategies to support student’s learning and communication

Qualifications and Experience:
– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience working with students with profound and multiple learning disabilities
– Strong understanding of SEN teaching methods and best practices
– Ability to differentiate instruction and adapt teaching approaches to meet the diverse needs of students
– Excellent communication skills and a patient, empathetic approach

As an special educational needs (SEN) teacher you will need:

  • A relevant teaching qualification
  • Ideally experience working in an SEN environment
  • Recent experience in a classroom environment

  • Flexibility and adaptability to work short-term and long-term
