A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced SEND Teacher to join a mainstream primary school in Manchester, working within their resource base. This is a full-time, long-term position starting ASAP, with the potential for a permanent contract for the right person.

About the school & role

  • Based in Manchester, the school is developing a their SEND resource base, offering an exciting opportunity for a teacher to help establish and shape the provision from the beginning.
  • The role will involve planning and delivering engaging, appropriately differentiated lessons for pupils within the resource base, creating a structured and supportive environment that meets their individual needs.
  • This is a full-time, long-term position starting ASAP, with the potential to move onto a permanent contract for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate

  • Holds QTS and has proven experience working with children with additional needs, particularly pupils on the autism spectrum or with complex language delays.
  • Understands how to adapt teaching, communication and classroom strategies to support pupils with complex needs and help them engage with learning.
  • Is patient, adaptable and collaborative, with the confidence to work closely with TAs, the SENCO and wider school team while helping to establish a successful new provision.
