Role: Year 2 Primary Teacher Location: Stockport Pay: £130 – £200 per day Start date: January 2026, until the end of the academic year
New Directions Education is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Stockport from January. This long-term role runs through to the end of the academic year.
Primary Teacher responsibilities:
Teaching a Year 2 class, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons
Supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
Planning, marking, and contributing to the wider curriculum
Creating a positive classroom atmosphere that promotes confidence and curiosity
Working closely with colleagues, support staff and parents to ensure the best outcomes for pupil
Primary Teacher requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status
Experience teaching within KS1
Strong classroom management and a warm, supportive approach
Good organisational skills and a commitment to high-quality teaching
A team player who enjoys contributing to school life
