Job Purpose
We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified Primary Teacher to join a supportive mainstream primary school in Erdington.
This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher looking for the stability of a long-term position where they can become part of the school community, build strong relationships with pupils and make a sustained impact on progress and attainment.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons while creating an inclusive and well-managed classroom where pupils feel motivated, supported and challenged.
For the right teacher, the role also offers longer-term career potential. Following a successful placement, there may be an opportunity to apply for a permanent position directly with the school, subject to the school’s recruitment process and required transfer period.
Key Responsibilities – Teaching & Learning
Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum
Assess, monitor and record pupil progress
Differentiate learning to meet individual needs
Identify and address gaps in learning
Create a positive and inclusive classroom
Maintain high standards of behaviour and achievement
Provide meaningful feedback to pupils
Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and colleagues
Communicate effectively with parents and carers
Contribute to curriculum and year-group planning
Participate in meetings, parents’ evenings and professional development
Person Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
Relevant UK primary classroom teaching experience
Strong National Curriculum knowledge
Excellent classroom and behaviour management
Strong planning and assessment skills
Ability to differentiate effectively
High expectations for pupil achievement
Excellent communication and organisation
Passion for helping children reach their potential
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Two satisfactory professional references
Qualifications
Applicants must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Relevant UK classroom teaching experience is required.
