Job Purpose
Are you an experienced primary teacher who enjoys the variety of teaching across different classes and year groups while still wanting the consistency of one school?
We are seeking a confident and adaptable Primary PPA Teacher to provide high-quality teaching across a welcoming primary school in Sutton Coldfield.
You will cover scheduled PPA time across different classes, quickly establishing positive relationships and maintaining consistently high expectations of learning and behaviour.
For the successful teacher, this long-term placement may also provide an opportunity to apply for a permanent role directly with the school following a successful placement and required transfer period.
Key Responsibilities – Teaching & Learning
Provide scheduled PPA cover across primary year groups
Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons
Follow existing planning and prepare lessons when required
Maintain continuity of learning
Differentiate activities to meet pupil needs
Quickly establish positive classroom routines
Maintain high standards of behaviour and engagement
Assess pupil understanding
Provide appropriate feedback
Support children with differing learning needs
Work collaboratively with class teachers and Teaching Assistants
Contribute positively to the wider school community
Person Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
Previous UK primary classroom teaching experience is essential
Experience teaching across primary year groups
Strong National Curriculum knowledge
Excellent classroom and behaviour management
Flexible and adaptable teaching style
Ability to quickly establish positive relationships
Strong organisation and communication
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Two satisfactory professional references
Qualifications
Applicants must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Relevant UK primary classroom experience is essential.
