ECT / Qualified Teacher – SEND Opportunities

Wirral | Primary & Secondary Trained Teachers Welcome

Are you an ECT or qualified teacher looking to gain valuable experience working in a SEND setting?

We are currently recruiting Primary and Secondary trained Teachers and ECTs who are passionate about supporting children and young people with special educational needs and are looking to develop their experience within a SEND school or specialist setting across Wirral.

This is a fantastic opportunity to broaden your teaching experience, develop your SEND knowledge and make a real difference to pupils who may benefit from a more individualised approach to learning.

The Role

As a SEND Teacher, you could be working with pupils with a range of additional needs, supporting them both academically and socially while helping them to reach their individual potential.

Depending on your experience and the setting, responsibilities may include:

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to individual needs
• Supporting pupils with their academic, social and emotional development
• Working collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs and other professionals
• Adapting learning and resources to meet a range of needs
• Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
• Supporting positive behaviour and creating an inclusive learning environment
• Developing your understanding and experience of SEND education

Who We’re Looking For

• ECTs looking to gain experience within a SEND environment
• Qualified Primary Teachers interested in developing their SEND experience
• Qualified Secondary Teachers who would like to explore specialist education
• Teachers with a genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs
• Teachers who are adaptable, patient, enthusiastic and committed to inclusive education

Previous SEND experience is desirable but not essential. What matters most is your enthusiasm, willingness to learn and commitment to helping pupils succeed.
