Religious Education Teacher – Immediate or September Start

Location: Canterbury
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: MPS1 – UPS3, dependent upon experience

New Directions are working in partnership with a forward-thinking secondary school in Canterbury to recruit a passionate and knowledgeable RE Teacher. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive department on a permanent contract at the start of the new academic year.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking RE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially KS5), fostering a respectful understanding of different beliefs and worldviews, and encouraging critical thinking in students.

Key Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Strong subject knowledge in Religious Education
• Ability to create inclusive and stimulating classroom environments
• A commitment to professional development and collaborative teaching
