New Directions are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join our successful and supportive Science department in a school based in Halton, starting September for a Part time position. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to deliver high-quality Science teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4 to inspire the next generation of scientists. ECT’s are welcome to apply.

As a Science Teacher you’ll be expected to:
Have a strong knowledge of the Science curriculum – Chemistry, Biology and Physics.
Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges.
Maintain discipline.
Lesson Planning and Marking will be required.
Be enthusiastic, flexible, creative and ambitious
A strong academic background Science or related discipline
To deliver Science lessons to groups of pupils from all abilities across ages 11 – 14 according to their educational needs and levels of ability.
The Successful Science Teacher must have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience Of Teaching Science or have a specialism in Chemistry, Physics or Biology.
Knowledge of the National Curriculum
Able to provide Referees.
An up-to-date DBS Check (or be willing to obtain one)
Eligibility to work in the UK.
