The Role
As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
Work with students aged 11–16, providing classroom support on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
Assist students with additional learning needs where required.
Encourage positive behaviour and promote student engagement.
Help create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
Adapt confidently to different school settings and classroom routines.
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or supporting young people in an educational setting.
A Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or Level 3) is desirable but not essential.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach.
The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
A genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve their full potential.
Flexibility to work across secondary schools in Flintshire.

Essential Requirements
Enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service, or willingness to undertake an Enhanced DBS check.
