New Directions Education is recruiting a Trainee SEND Teaching Assistant for a specialist secondary SEND school in Fazakerley, supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

What you’ll be doing:
Supporting pupils with SEMH needs in and out of the classroom
Assisting with behaviour regulation, engagement, and emotional support
Working closely with teachers and pastoral teams to support individual strategies
What we’re looking for:
A strong interest in supporting young people with SEMH
Applicants from behaviour support, youth work, mentoring, care, or similar backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply
Calm, resilient, and confident working with challenging behaviour
Able to pass an enhanced DBS and provide recent references
