We’re looking for HLTAs who are:
*Experienced in working with PMLD or complex needs
*Confident leading small groups, 1:1 sessions and supporting the class teacher
*Skilled in multi‑sensory, therapeutic and communication‑focused approaches
*Understanding of systems such as PECs, switches, Intensive Interaction (desirable)
*Calm, patient, creative and passionate about SEN education
*Comfortable assisting with personal care and medical routines
*Reliable, adaptable and confident stepping into different settings
What you’ll do on supply as a PMLD HLTA:
-Deliver and support individualised, sensory‑rich learning activities
-Lead sessions and provide HLTA‑level support when needed
-Build positive relationships with learners using consistent, nurturing approaches
-Support pupils with personal care, mobility and medical needs
-Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and support staff
-Ensure every learner is safe, engaged and supported with dignity
