New Directions Education is seeking passionate, skilled, and nurturing SEN Teachers to support Specialist Settings and Mainstream Resource Provisions across Leeds. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact within inclusive settings, supporting pupils with a wide range of additional needs.
We want to hear from teachers who:
Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Have experience supporting children or young people with SEND, either in mainstream or specialist settings
Understand inclusive teaching, differentiation, and effective SEN strategies
Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills and use therapeutic, trauma-informed approaches to support emotional regulation
Are creative, patient, empathetic, and committed to helping all learners achieve their potential
In this rewarding role, you will:
Deliver high-quality, individualised teaching tailored to a range of needs
Plan and adapt lessons linked to EHCP targets and personalised learning goals
Work collaboratively with SENCOs, support staff, therapists, and families
Track, assess, and monitor pupil progress, adapting your approach to ensure positive outcomes
Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment that promotes independence, confidence, and engagement
