An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and committed SEND Teacher to join a well-established specialist school in Knowsley from September. This full-time role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and is looking to make a genuine difference in the lives of children with additional needs. The Role
Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of small classes of approximately 6–8 pupils.
Create a safe, nurturing, and structured classroom environment where pupils feel supported to learn and develop.
Encourage pupils’ academic, social, and emotional progress through tailored teaching strategies and positive relationships.
Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to provide a consistent and effective approach to learning.
The Ideal Candidate
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Has experience working within SEND education or is eager to develop a career within a specialist setting.
Demonstrates resilience, patience, and empathy when supporting children and young people with additional needs.
Requirements
Able to provide references covering the previous five years.
Holds an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or is willing to obtain one.
