Role Overview
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join a leading special school based in Kent, catering to children and young people (ages 2–19) with profound, severe and complex learning needs. Recognised as Outstanding by Ofsted, this school delivers high-quality, inclusive education across multiple sites and prides itself on nurturing a culture of excellence and support.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with class teachers to support learners with Profound, Severe, and Complex Learning Difficulties (PMLD) across all age groups (2–19 years).
Deliver holistic support—academically, socially, emotionally—tailored to individual Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) outcomes.
Implement personalized learning activities, adapting resources and teaching strategies to meet diverse needs.
Assist with mobility, personal care, communication aids, and safe positioning, where required.
Support positive behaviour management and encourage engagement through meaningful interaction.
Monitor and document pupil progress, contributing to reports and team discussions.
Facilitate inclusive activities, including sensory integration, creative arts, therapy support, and transitions.
Uphold safeguarding practices and maintain confidentiality in line with school and statutory guidelines.

Full DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain) and commitment to all safeguarding procedures.
