If you’re passionate about helping young people with complex and medical needs thrive through personalised, holistic learning, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

About the Role
As a Sensory Pathway Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a key role in shaping meaningful learning experiences that help pupils build life skills, develop physical and sensory abilities, and improve overall wellbeing. You will work in nurturing, therapeutic environments where every learner is supported to grow in confidence, independence, and self‑expression. Your approach will centre around sensory integration, structured routines, and relationship‑based support — helping each child feel safe, understood, and ready to learn.

We’re Looking For People Who Are:
-Experienced in supporting children or young people with complex health or medical needs
-Comfortable providing personal care and following detailed healthcare plans
-Knowledgeable about trauma‑informed, holistic approaches to education
-Skilled in adapting learning strategies for a range of SEND needs, including Autism, SLCN, and SEMH
-Trained in Team‑Teach or similar therapeutic behaviour approaches (desirable but not essential)

What You’ll Be Doing
-Providing 1:1 and small‑group support in sensory-rich, therapeutic learning environments
-Helping plan and deliver personalised learning journeys aligned with EHCPs and sensory profiles
-Leading or assisting with sensory-based activities that support regulation, engagement, and motor development
-Working closely with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure consistent, joined‑up support
-Always championing the dignity, safety, and wellbeing of the children in your care
