New Directions is looking for energetic and adaptable PE Teachers to support secondary schools across the Leeds area from September. This is a flexible supply role offering full‑time, short‑term, and long‑term opportunities, ideal for teachers who thrive in varied environments and enjoy keeping students active, motivated and engaged.
The Role
Delivering engaging PE lessons across KS3 and KS4, following school plans and curriculum requirements
Leading practical sessions, ensuring safety, participation and positive behaviour throughout
Covering a mix of indoor and outdoor sports, adapting to facilities and timetables
Promoting teamwork, resilience and healthy lifestyles
Managing equipment, setting up activities and maintaining smooth lesson flow
Supporting wider school cover needs when required, ensuring consistency across the day
What You Need
Previous experience teaching PE
Strong behaviour management and confident classroom presence
Ability to adapt quickly to new schools, routines and student groups
A proactive, energetic approach with a passion for physical education
QTS
