New Directions Education is currently recruiting for enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work within primary schools across Bradford and the surrounding areas. We want to hear from you if you have:
· Experience working with children within a school, childcare, or educational setting.
· A passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
· Experience supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
· A good understanding of the primary curriculum across EYFS, KS1, and/or KS2.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
· Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff.
· A patient, caring, and flexible approach to supporting pupils.
· Experience working with pupils with SEND, SEMH, EAL, or additional learning needs would be advantageous.
· Good behaviour management skills and the ability to support positive learning behaviours.
· A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Job Specification
Working as a Teaching Assistant can be incredibly rewarding, requiring enthusiasm, patience, and a proactive approach to supporting teaching and learning. Key Responsibilities:
· Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons across the primary curriculum.
· Provide classroom support to individuals, small groups, and whole classes as required.
· Assist pupils with their academic, social, and emotional development.
· Support the implementation of lesson plans and learning activities prepared by the class teacher.
· Adapt resources and activities to meet the needs of all learners, including pupils with SEND and EAL requirements.
· Promote positive behaviour and support the school’s behaviour management policies.
· Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
· Support the assessment and monitoring of pupil progress through observation and feedback.
· Assist with classroom preparation, organisation, and display work.
· Encourage pupils to develop confidence, independence, and resilience in their learning.
· Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, parents, and external professionals to support pupil outcomes.
· Maintain safeguarding responsibilities and promote the welfare of all children and young people.
