Teaching Assistant, Vale of Glamorgan

Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistants to join schools in Barry, Vale of Glamorgan. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting teachers in the delivery of high-quality education, assisting students in their learning, and ensuring a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside the teaching staff to provide additional support for students, both individually and in small groups, helping them reach their full potential. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the class teacher in the delivery of lessons and activities.
• Assist with the preparation and organization of classroom resources.
• Work with students on a one-to-one or small group basis, providing targeted support.
• Help monitor and track student progress and provide feedback to the teacher.
• Support students with their social, emotional, and behavioral development.
• Foster a positive and engaging classroom environment.
• Build strong working relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  
  
  
  

  The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with children, ideally in an educational setting (training can be provided for
    the right candidate).
  • A positive, proactive attitude with a genuine interest in supporting students.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and have the ability to connect with students of all abilities.
  • A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare, Education, or a related field is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience with additional learning needs.
