Job Description

New Directions Education are currently recruiting Supply Teachers for primary schools across Chester and the surrounding areas, with flexible day-to-day, short-term and longer-term opportunities available.

This is an ideal opportunity for teachers looking for greater flexibility, a varied working week or the chance to experience different primary school settings across Chester.

Due to the nature of these opportunities, candidates must be able to commit to working 3 or more days per week.

The Role:

• Delivering engaging lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
• Following existing lesson plans and adapting activities where appropriate
• Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively
• Supporting students with their learning and development
• Maintaining high expectations for student behaviour and achievement
• Building positive relationships with students and school staff
• Ensuring continuity of learning throughout the school day
• Following school policies and safeguarding procedures

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching within a primary school setting
• Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum
• Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
• The ability to adapt quickly to different school environments
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A flexible, reliable and professional approach
• A passion for supporting students to achieve their potential
• A strong commitment to safeguarding
