New Directions is currently seeking compassionate teaching assistants to work in our schools in and around the Rhondda Valley. We have multiple positions available, ranging from day-to-day work to long-term roles.

As a teaching assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students within both primary and secondary school settings. Your duties will include providing support to students either in a group or 1:1 setting, as well as assisting with classroom activities. Creating a positive learning environment where students can thrive is essential.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting children with additional learning needs to help them achieve their full potential.
• Assisting in preparing classrooms for lessons, ensuring that learning materials and resources are readily available.
• Fostering a motivating environment where students feel encouraged to learn and succeed.

Requirements:

A minimum of 3 months’ experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.

• Enthusiasm for the role and dedication to working with children.
• Enhanced DBS clearance, registered with the update service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Registration with the Education Workforce Council.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
