Teaching Assistant – KS1 & 2,

Job Description

We are recruiting a Teaching Assistant to work at a Primary School in Whitchurch, Monday to Friday during term time. Working hours are 8.30am – 3.30pm.

You will be working closely with a children in a range a classes from Foundation Phase to Key Stage 2. An important part of this role is to build a positive and trusting relationship with the pupils. The successful candidate will need to have a calm demeanour and be committed, as well as encouraging.

Previous experience of working with pupils on a one-to-one basis and a group basis will be beneficial for this job role. Diabetes training will beneficial but not essential.

You will need:

• A minimum of 3 months child-based experience
• Strong awareness of children with diabetes
• Contactable references
• A Child and Adult DBS – or be willing to undertake one via New Directions
• A willingness to complete mandatory training when required
