New Directions Education is recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Secondary Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Cardiff. We have flexible opportunities available, including day-to-day supply, short-term assignments and long-term placements, with both full-time and part-time roles available.

The Role
As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support students across Key Stages 3 and 4 within the classroom.
Provide 1:1 and small group support to help pupils reach their full potential.
Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging lessons and adapt learning where needed.
Support students with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), including ASD, ADHD, Speech & Language and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Encourage positive behaviour and help create a safe, inclusive learning environment.
Assist with classroom preparation and general learning support.
We’re Looking For
Experience working with young people in a school, youth work, sports coaching, mentoring or similar setting.
A patient, resilient and proactive approach.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
The ability to work collaboratively as part of a school team.
A Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
