Job Description

New Directions Education is currently recruiting enthusiastic and motivated Unqualified Teaching Assistants to work within primary schools across Winsford. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain valuable classroom experience and begin a career within education.

The schools we work with are welcoming, supportive, and committed to creating positive learning environments where pupils can thrive. As a Teaching Assistant, you will support teachers and pupils across a range of classroom activities while helping to promote engagement, confidence, and wellbeing.

Due to the nature of these opportunities, candidates should be available to work 3 or more days per week.

The Role:

• Supporting teachers with classroom activities and daily routines
• Assisting pupils with their learning on an individual and small-group basis
• Helping to create a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment
• Encouraging pupil participation and engagement in lessons
• Supporting children with additional learning or behavioural needs where required
• Assisting with classroom preparation and resources
• Supervising pupils during break times and school activities when needed
• Working collaboratively with teaching staff and support teams

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Experience working with children or young people in any setting (desirable) Experience working as part of a team or group for 6 months or more A positive, patient, and proactive attitude Strong communication and interpersonal skills The ability to work effectively as part of a team A willingness to learn and develop within an educational setting A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures A full UK driving licence and access to transport (desirable)
