Manchester School to Celebrate Arrival of Olympic Torch Passing their School

Manchester will hold an Olympic torch evening celebration event on Saturday 23 June.

Crowcroft Park Primary school will also be holding its own celebrations for the olympic torch on the 24th June 2012. The staff, parents and children are really excited to have the opportunity to see the torch pass the back of their school. The school will be using the “New Directions penalty shoot out” to help celebrate this occasion as well as numerous other events such as face painting, henna tattoos, games and will also be serving food.

Amanda Stothard, Branch Manager, comments, “This is a really exciting time for the school and a once in a life time opportunity which is fantastic to be a part of”.

The torch will approach 07.48am Dickenson road (A6010) and then move down Stockport road towards the back of Crowcroft Park Primary school in Manchester.
